New year, new school!

Over the summer holidays the school was a hive of activity as we decorated many of the classrooms and coridoors. 7 classrooms were painted from top to bottom and were given new carpets and blinds. All the furniture in these classrooms has been replaced and the difference is amazing! As well as this we have a brand new Year 1 outdoor learning environment complete with grass sheep!

Dinosaur digging in Year 3!

To kick start the new half term, Year 3 went dinosaur digging! They had to use paint brushes and chisels to clean off their discoveries like real life archaeologists  . Throughout the term they are going to be travelling back in time as they explore the main dates, events and characteristics of the Jurassic period!

TPA Poetry Competition

Congratulations to all of our very talented poetry competition winners.  Click the link above to enjoy all of their amazing work.  Well done to everyone.

Edenbridge Primary Loves To Dance

Love to dance 030419

On Wednesday 3rd April, a group of talented Edenbridge dancers took part in the Love To Dance show at The Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks.  Over 1000 children from the Sevenoaks area took part in this exciting event over the course of the two days.  Edenbridge performed to Come Alive from The Greatest Showman - a complex routine, full of action and movement but definitely one that dazzled and amazed the audience. They even managed to bring a tear of pride to their headteacher's eyes!  Thank you Mr Holliday, Mrs Chapman, Mrs Pys and Ethan Chapman for all your hard work in helping put this event together and to the team of talented mums who helped with the costumes and make up.  Can't wait till next year.

Science Week 2019

Great fun was had at our Science Week workshops on Wednesday and Friday after school.  Children and parents worked together to create marble runs that lasted exactly 60 seconds.  This was much harder than it sounded (the longest time we achieved was 5 seconds).  This challenge has been continued at home and completed runs will be brought back to school on Friday 22nd March for testing.  On Friday, participants were challenged to create a safe landing for eggs using balloons and plastic.  The creativity was eggsellent!!! We had many versions and a few crash landings but we managed to land a significant number safely.‚Äč  Mrs Kelly
